Shrink down for a microscopic view of an N-95 being bombarded by exhaled droplets in this demonstration of how masks work. A New York Times Instagram augmented reality experience published in collaboration with the Newsroom Graphics team alongside their digital and print articles.

⚡ Technical achievements: built an animation library and other utilities in Spark AR’s unique “reactive” JavaScript environment, and developed a geometry-based visual effect for particle trails.
